Wed May 31, 2017

HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's lacrosse head coach Danielle Spencer has announced the addition of the Blaine Steinberg '15 Award to the list of accolades presented at the each end-of-year banquet moving forward.

Voted on by the members of that season's team, this award will be presented annually to the Big Green women's lacrosse player who displays relentless positivity and empathy towards her teammates.

The first ever recipient of this award was announced Tuesday night at the Quechee Inn during the 2017 banquet and was presented to sophomore Isabel Taben.

A member of the women's lacrosse team for two seasons, Blaine Steinberg '15 tragically passed away on March 7, 2014, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to friends and family, her love of sports, an infectious laugh and that relentless positivity.

Steinberg loved Dartmouth and she gave back to her school in countless hours with several clubs, groups and College activities. This new annual award will continue to recognize her passion for the Dartmouth community for many years to come.
