Hometown: Bethlehem, Pa. Majors: Film and media studies and economicsMedia and money have been twin threads running through Gardiner Kreglow's time at Dartmouth. He wrote an honors thesis on the appeal of dark TV shows like Breaking Bad; did an independent study of streaming platforms' impact on the theoretical understanding of television; and was a research assistant to three professors—in film studies, economics, and government. He was also publisher of the student newspaper, The Dartmouth, a member of the Faculty Committee on Instruction, and co-moderator of the Palaeopitus senior society. During off-terms, he held internships with the U.S. Department of Education (funded by the Rockefeller Center) and JPMorgan Chase. After graduation, he will be an associate consultant with Bain & Company in San Francisco.Marshals are carefully selected by fellow students for their citizenship, enthusiasm, integrity, and positive impact on others. The marshals carry batons engraved with their names as they lead their classmates to the Green during the Commencement academic procession.
