Accidental Engagement With Art

The Hood Museum of Art is now home to an exhibition of a work by artist Jennifer Steinkamp. The work, a digital animation of a tree, is on display at the Top of the Hop. “We decided to put the tree at the Top of the Hop because it's a very public space,” says John Stomberg, the Hood Museum’s Virginia Rice Kelsey 1961s Director. ”This installation is part of an idea of curating the whole campus, so that there’s art everywhere, and so that you can have accidental engagement with art everywhere.”
