Singh, an assistant professor of religion, is an expert on the history of religious thought, but he applies his research to some very modern concerns. His first book, “Divine Currency: The Theological Power of Money in the West,” examined the relationship between faith and money. In this video, he talks about his research. “Religion is a useful tool for understanding today’s global society because of the ways in which religion has shaped and influenced so much of the world today,” he says.
